Following the shocking death of Nicki Minaj’s father, Robert Maraj, the man allegedly responsible for his demise has been charged and civilly sued for wrongful death. Although the famous singer has reportedly refrained from issuing a public statement in regards to the circumstances of her father’s death, Nicki Minaj’s mother, Carol Maraj, expresses relief in knowing that the man accused of killing her husband has been identified. On February 12 of this year, Robert Maraj was struck by a vehicle while walking in Mineola on Long Island and died in the hospital the following day. Continue reading

Regardless of experience level, those who ride bicycles should forever be cognizant of road and path conditions and avoid areas with routine issues.  In Evansville, Indiana, there is a section of passage known as Pigeon Creek Greenway, located under the Franklin Street bridge, where bicyclists have been injured in the past.  The most recent incident involves a skilled bike rider, who hit a mud patch and toppled to the ground.  She sustained a broken wrist, broken teeth, road rash, bruising, and bleeding. About fifty former wrestlers from World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) have accused the organization of failing to provide adequate protection and safety to its wrestlers.  While they make the job look easy, wrestlers do experience complications and face injuries related to their sport.  One of the more frequent injuries associated with professional wrestling is the concussion. Although defined as a soft tissue injury, repeated concussions may leave lasting impacts on an individual’s brain and system function.  Throughout the course of a wrestler’s career, he or she may suffer from more than one concussion.  For this reason, the fifty former wrestlers filed a lawsuit against WWE. When consumers have food allergies, there is always a risk in dining at a restaurant.  About two years ago, on May 8, 2018, a patron of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Sioux City, Iowa received both a poor dining experience and a trip to the hospital. As a result of her less than pleasurable dinner, Rochelle McCoy filed a lawsuit on May 4 in Woodbury County District Court.  Since then, the lawsuit has been dropped, but the specifications or terms of a potential settlement have not been disclosed to the public.  The culprit that convinced McCoy to take legal action may be described as rich and mild. A Sweet Decision Benefits Farmers

Due to a lack of standing, a recent sugarcane personal injury lawsuit has been dismissed.  A group of three plaintiffs, consisting of one resident of Clewiston, FL and two residents of Belle Glade, FL, are afforded the opportunity to refile a second amended complaint against the sugarcane farming companies.  The filing must be completed by May 22, and one stipulation from the judge dictates that only three of the original seven accusations may be included in the new complaint.
