A Colorado-based ranch is taking legal action against a Nebraska-run grazing business for breach of contract. In April 2020, the two parties agreed that Cornerstone Grazing, operated by owners, Derek and Lesa Schwanebeck, and their sole employee, John C. Odom, would graze 603 bred cows and 22 bulls throughout the course of the summer. The contract would end on November 12 when Three Forks Ranch would sell the bred cows. Following a September 2 report that several cows had died due to an apparent outbreak of disease, Three Forks Ranch employees traveled to Cornerstone Grazing to find twenty dead cattle. Regardless of the Alaskan state law that protects employees from becoming subjected to false representations of prospective employment, the seafood processing industry has allegedly marketed jobs as high paying and exciting. Specifically, plaintiffs in a class action lawsuit are accusing North Pacific Seafoods, Inc. of convincing over 800 seasonal workers to fly to Alaska to take part in cleaning, filleting, packaging, freezing, and canning seafood at the company’s plants. Rap Superstar Sued for 30 Million Dollars
Wig designer Terrence Davidson is suing Hip Hop star Nicki Minaj for 30 million dollars. “Terrence Davidson filed suit Friday in district court in Atlanta alleging that the star not only stole his wig designs, but also cost him a potential reality show deal that he was discouraged from pursuing”. Davidson began working for Minaj in 2010 as her Hair stylist, and also began designing wigs for her to wear in her performances. The rapper has since become increasingly famous and known for her eccentric style, such as her pink and platinum blonde wigs.
