Three Florida families will receive $200,000 each after a year long case comes to a close. The families are being compensated after a peculiar series of events, that allegedly lead to the death of three high school students. Their deaths came just months after the three teens were all hypnotized by North Port High School Principal George Kenney. The case began after Kenney admitted to hypnotizing 16 year old student Wesley McKinley, just one day before he took his own life in the Spring of 2011.

Lawsuit Filed Against Celebrity Twins
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are back in the spotlight, this time due to a recent lawsuit they may be facing. Former interns are suing the twins, one alleging that she was over worked with no pay. The interns worked for the celebs company Dualstar Entertainment Group. The lawsuit contends that the past interns were entitled to minimum wage at the least.
Procter & Gamble Co. Reaches Settlement for Slack-Fill
Procter & Gamble Co., owner of Olay, has just settled a lawsuit with California prosecutors to the tune of $850,000. Prosecutors of Fresno, Shasta, Yolo, and Riverside’s DA Offices filed a consumer-protection suit against the beauty company. The settlement comes after Olay was accused of deceiving customers. Olay allegedly gave consumers the illusion that some of their products were bigger than they actually are, through the use of larger than needed packaging. Olay was ordered to modify the packaging on these products, as a result of the settlement.
GM Settles Fatal Ignition-Switch Defect Case
General motors settled a second lawsuit over a faulty ignition switch that lead to the death of 29 year old Brooke Melton in 2010. Melton’s death was the start of a major GM recall. The lawsuit was filed by her parents, who say GM knew about the ignition problems but covered up the evidence. General Motors has reportedly admitted that it was aware of ignition problems since 2001.
Amtrak Accident Sparks Lawsuits
The fatal Amtrak accident that occurred in Philadelphia has resulted in multiple lawsuits being filed. Passengers on the deadly train derailment have begun to file federal lawsuits against Amtrak. Amtrak 188 derailed moments after an increase of speed of 70 mph to around 106 mph. The cause and reason of the acceleration is not yet known. The incident resulted in eight fatalities and over 200 injuries.
