Lawsuit Filed Against America’s Soup Brand

With an emphasis on healthy living lately, it’s hard to miss the heart healthy checks on Campbell’s Soup cans when you walk down the aisle at the grocery store. A federal lawsuit was filed against Campbell Soup Co. and the American Heart Association stating the soups are not as heart healthy as the certification might suggest. The American Heart Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting cardiovascular diseases and stroke through a heart healthy lifestyle and diet. According to the AHA website, a low sodium product is defined as having 140 milligrams of sodium or less per serving, however, to earn the publicly recognized stamp of approval from the AHA, the product should have no more than 480 milligrams of sodium per serving. This contradiction in standards is what has caught the AHA and Campbell Soup Co. in a lawsuit. Read More

Everyone knows the saying “sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me,” but in this day age words and statements are not to be taken lightly and can cause a lot of damage. While social media gives celebrities the ability to speak their minds to their fans, there have been plenty of public figures that have eaten their written words when they have not been cautious about while posting about others. In a recent incident, hip-hop superstar Jayceon Taylor, better known as The Game, has recently came out with a slanderous statement about his previous babysitter, Karen Monroe, on Instagram and Twitter. Not-So-Fast Food: War Veteran Denied Service

Worth a bite?

An employee’s decision at a popular fast food chain might fry the whole franchise.  Charles Hernandez, a veteran of the Iraq War, was denied service at a KFC in New York after attempting to bring in his service dog. He is filing a lawsuit for $1,000,000 in Manhattan Federal Court.  Hernandez uses his dog, Valor, to help alleviate his post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), which includes night terrors and other panic attacks.  The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) allows any American to bring their service animals in any establishment or location. Atlantic City Lawsuit Redefines “Fine Dining”

Apparently, the Borgata Casino was not ready for this jelly. In a surprising result, the Atlantic County Supreme Court reaffirmed the casino’s right to terminate a Borgata Babe’s employment contract solely on the premise of weight gain. The group of 22 Borgata babes filed suit in direct response to their considered stringent employment stipulations. The Borgata Babes, the jack of all trades of Borgata’s Food and Beverage Service, contend the employment requirements were objectifying, demeaning, and draconian. Read more

A husband’s ex-wife made a bold statement with her divorce and financial settlement. A judge ordered the ex-wife to pay $50.12 for her divorce and financial settlement. So how did she go about following the orders of the judge, you ask? The ex-wife paid her divorce and financial settlement with pennies! That’s right, the husband received his settlement money in three plastic containers. However, the worst part is the total amount of pennies came to $47.12.
