Chad Hurley Faced With Lawsuit Over Kimye Proposal Video

Don’t Mess With Kimye

Crashing their “private” proposal party is one way to get on Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s bad side, as Chad Hurley has learned the hard way. The Kimye legal team has served Hurley with a lawsuit stating he violated a non-disclosure agreement he signed by posting a video of the proposal on his new venture, MixBit. Hurley reportedly was not invited to the private party, but tagged along with a friend who was invited, and was only allowed to stay after signing this non-disclosure agreement. The suit seeks damages of an unspecified amount depending on the cost estimate to the video rights. The rights to the proposal video were only to go to MC Cable Television, which is associated with E!.

The Witch Hunt Finally Ends for Amanda Todd

Amanda Todd Witch Hunt?

Amanda Todd, a 15 year old from British Columbia, has taken her life due to years of torment from her peers and community.  The young girl had made the mistake of flashing her breasts to a gentleman online during a slumber party.  This man found her on Facebook and sent the pictures out to all her friends and classmates.  She was chastised and bullied for her adolescent decision for years, even having to move more than once to escape the agony.  Todd made a Youtube video reaching out for help, stating that she had once tried to take her life and that she needed someone to lend a hand.  The authorities knew about the pictures and the school system knew of her suicidal threats, but then where were they when she actually decided to end it?  The real important question is why is this disturbing gentleman, who took Todd’s intimate pictures viral, not locked up?  I guess a number of people had the same question because the group Anonymous, an unlikely hero in certain aspects, outed the pervert’s name, address, and age.

Terror Alert in Phoenix! Code: Baby Blue

Mock Terrorism? Who knows anymore.

Mock Terrorism.  It sounds dumber when spoken than it does written here.  But I kid you not, this is something our country needs to look out for.  Michael Turley from Phoenix, Arizona, decided to make terrorism watch his job after the shooting at the Auora, Colorado movie theater. The 39 year old cinematographer and photographer filmed a short video with his 16 year old nephew to “test” the Phoenix police.  He first dressed his nephew in a blue sheet made to look like a toga.  Put a ski mask on him and armed him with a fake grenade/rocket launcher.  They then, paraded around the busiest streets in Phoneix pointing their weapon at citizens passing by.  The point was to stir up some emotions in the people walking by and to time how long it would take for Phoenix police to come to the scene.  Passersby called police to inform them of the situation even though they assumed it was a joke and were not really threatened.  When asked what they were doing with a fake grenade/rocket launcher they said they were making a movie.  Um?

NYC Cop On His Own For Pepper Spraying

Lone police officer

Anthony Bologna, a man infamous among Occupy Wall Street protesters, who even warranted the nickname, Tony Baloney, is being sued for pepper spraying a crowd of protesters on September 24, 2011. Three women involved in the protest are filing the lawsuit as well as two additional protesters.  They claim that Anthony Bologna, a Deputy officer, violated their free speech and civil rights.  His actions were described as having “no legal reason,” and therefore the city of New York will not financially back Mr. Bologna for his actions regarding the protesters.  Instead the Captains Endowment Association, an organization that represents NYPD officers in the rankings of Captain, Deputy and Surgeon, will be covering Mr. Bologna’s lawsuit costs.  The Deputy was only docked 10 vacation days and given a departmental discipline which was an outrage to some who saw the viral video of the pepper spraying on YouTube.
