With another act of negligence under its wings, United Airlines maintains its notorious reign as the most talked about airline. Previous incidents of forcefully removing passengers from seats and leaving a sexual assault victim in harm’s way are just a couple of reasons why this Airline has been generally disliked in the media. The airline’s most recent misfortune concerns that of an innocent animal. A 10-month-old French bulldog, named Kokito, boarded a flight in his doggy carrier, going from Houston to New York. The owner of the dog, who was accompanied by her young teenage daughter, and toddler, stored the TSA-approved pet carrier under the seat in front of her. A flight attendant argued with the passenger, insisting that the carrier was somewhat blocking the aisle. Trusting that the flight attendant would not willingly put the dog in a dangerous environment, the passenger agreed to store the dog and carrier in the overhead bin. Continue reading

United Airlines Notoriety Grows
United Airlines is back in the news with yet another scandal of misconduct. This past Spring, several passengers came forward regarding the mistreatment they received while flying with United Airlines. The notoriety creeped into the Summer, with a complaint from a teenager, claiming she was sexually assaulted on a red eye flight, going from Seattle, Washington to Newark, New Jersey. During the course of her flight, the teenager, only 16 years old, was unaccompanied by a parent or family member. The man seated next to her, who was identified as an immigrant doctor here in the US on a fellowship program, allegedly assaulted the teenager while she slept. Read more
United Airlines Scandals Continue
Affected passengers of United Airlines have taken their complaints to the court room. A recent lawsuit was filed by graduate student, Karen Shiboleth, against the controversial company. Shiboleth argues that she was abruptly removed from her seat in business-class, and placed in another seat toward the rear of the plane. The reason for the seat change was not provided to her, as she was escorted to the back of the plane with force. Read more
