Less than two years following the June 2022 final airing of The Wendy Williams Show, news broke of the former talk show host’s frontotemporal dementia and aphasia diagnosis. The 59-year-old entered an agreement with Lifetime to produce a documentary, which would follow Williams’ life in transition from television to a new podcast. During the year and a half that cameras followed her and conducted interviews with her family members, however, the focus of the documentary shifted to that of her health and the apparent growing concern about the level of adequate care that she was receiving.

Settle the Affair
The scandal that rocked the reality TV world last year has earned an additional layer of drama, as one of the core players involved, Ariana Madix, sues the culprit of deceit, Tom Sandoval. Labeled as one of the most despised men on television, Sandoval was accused of and later admitted to stepping away from his girlfriend of nine years to engage in a months-long dalliance with one of the former pair’s co-stars. The Vanderpump Rules conflict unfolded on-screen, on social media, and on and on and on. With the season 11 premiere only a few days away, Madix has incorporated legal matters into the storyline.

Consumer concerns may lead to a stronger fight against the manufacturer of a wildly popular tumbler. The Stanley Quencher cup yielded an impressive revenue stream for the company, with $750 million in sales in 2023. This sales number is a massive jump from the $75 million in Quencher sales earned in 2022. Perhaps some of the more enticing features of the tumbler include its spectrum of colors, longevity of desired beverage temperature, and monogram design options. One of the newest components to the product, as showcased by social media influencers, is the possible presence of lead within the tumbler.

The Army Corps of Engineers may face the harsh repercussions associated with opening the Bonnet Carré Spillway and subsequently causing the direct and indirect injury and death of a significant portion of the area’s bottlenose dolphin population. The spillway was opened in 2019 for a record 120 days. Over this extended period, as polluted fresh water from the Mississippi River traveled into the Mississippi Sound saltwater, the impact of the flooding proved detrimental. Many of the dolphins that did survive suffered from skin lesions.

As a consumer, it may appear logical to expect that the item contained therein matches the advertised image depicted on the front of the product packaging. In the case of Hershey’s holiday chocolate, however, Florida resident, Cynthia Kelly, claims that the facial motifs etched into the product wrapper design are not actually carved into the outer chocolate coating of Reese’s Peanut Butter pumpkins, ghosts, footballs, snowmen, stockings, and bells. On behalf of herself and additional impacted customers, the Florida plaintiff filed the lawsuit, which has reached class action status, and aims to retrieve $5 million in compensation.
