Kelli J. Amaya who worked as an administrator at the Harris School of Business and its Wilmington, Delaware campus had some serious doubts about the organization and its for profit chain of trade schools. She along with several other former employees aledge that school executives skewed aptitude tests and enrolled students that never should have been admitted. “I saw students who never should have been there, students with whopping gaps in learning abilities and major psychiatric problems who were just not capable of doing the work,” (Perez-Pena 2014) said Ms. Amaya. She goes on to say that “The bosses were always like, ‘Stop asking why they’re enrolled, just get them to graduation however you can’ ”(Perez-Pena 2014).

Diet Pills Allegedly Land New York Woman in Mental Institution
Sainah Theodore is suing a Natural Health Food Center in East New York after she claimed a diet pill caused her to argue with strangers, stop her car in the middle of intersections, stab pillows and ultimately land her in a mental hospital. The weight loss pill initially caused her to sleep lightly and eventually resulted in six days of insomnia. Reports state that she sent her mother irrational and aggressive text messages and told a friend she was hearing voices. The pills are said to have been spiked with illegal stimulants that caused her to suffer from insomnia and act bizarrely. “I couldn’t believe all of this happened to me. It was a blur. I had no recollection of my behavior,” (Yaniv, 2014) said Theodore.
Oakland Raiders Accused of Violating Labor Laws
The Oakland Raiders are being sued for allegedly violating numerous state labor laws. The suit suggests that the organization withheld pay from the Raiderettes until the end of the season, pays below minimum wage and does not pay for hours worked, while forcing cheerleaders to pay for many of their own business expenses. The lawsuit seeks to be certified as a class action on behalf of all present and former Raiderettes who cheered for the team since 2010, estimated to a total of about 100 women.
Young Tourist Sues NYC after Losing Her Leg
Sian Green, 24 was on vacation with her best friend in New York City, enjoying a hotdog near Rockefeller Center when a cab driver jumped the curb and struck her. The young woman lost her leg as a result of the accident and is now suing the city for 27.5 million dollars. According to reports the cab driver, Faysal Himon should not have even been driving at the time of accident, as his license should have been suspended for previous violations before the accident.
