Consumer concerns may lead to a stronger fight against the manufacturer of a wildly popular tumbler.\u00a0 The Stanley Quencher cup yielded an impressive revenue stream for the company, with $750 million in sales in 2023.\u00a0 This sales number is a massive jump from the $75 million in Quencher sales earned in 2022.\u00a0 Perhaps some of the more enticing features of the tumbler include its spectrum of colors, longevity of desired beverage temperature, and monogram design options.\u00a0 One of the newest components to the product, as showcased by social media influencers, is the possible presence of lead within the tumbler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

TikTok users have published videos of positive results from lead testing the Stanley Quencher, forcing many to believe that there is a chance that customers may consume the heavy metal.\u00a0 The rise in speculation<\/a> developed in response to the Stanley Quencher limited edition, introduced as the \u201cGalentine\u2019s Collection\u201d on December 31, 2023.\u00a0 Available at Target, consumers allegedly stormed the shelves to grab the unique color options, Cosmo Pink and Target Red.\u00a0 The determination to discover the tumbler\u2019s superior drinkware features and why customers are attracted to it might have served as the catalyst for some to deconstruct the product.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has identified the common effects of lead consumption, including disability and permanent harm to the body.  It is also critically harmful to children under the age of six.  In response to the claims presented, Stanley has described its manufacturing process, which includes the incorporation of a lead pellet.  This lead is sealed and covered by stainless steel and acts as an insulating agent to the outside environment.  Although the instance of lead seeping into the cup is rare, the manufacturer acknowledges that this unintended outcome may occur if the stainless steel barrier is removed.  Stanley has assured its consumers that the manufacturing process aligns with FDA guidelines.     <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
