The Kardashian clan cannot escape the spotlight, as the famous family’s highest earning member is named as a defendant in a recent lawsuit, which has been filed on behalf of individuals who claimed they were duped into participating in a fraudulent promotional giveaway that took place in 2020. Kim Kardashian does not stand as the only defendant in the case, but is joined by her sister’s ex-boyfriend, Scott Disick. According to the complaint, Disick allegedly organized the promotion and Kardashian endorsed it on her social media account. Spears strikes back

Jamie Spears is striking back at blogger and “Absolute Britney” website developer, Anthony Elia.  In a lawsuit filed recently, Jamie Spears, who has served as Britney Spears’ conservator since 2008, alleges Elia inflicted malicious intent to defame him. In Elia’s blog, he concocts conspiracy theories about Jamie’s apparent power over Britney.  Two theories include Jamie’s misrepresentation of Britney on her social media accounts to make her appear crazy, and not allowing Britney to regain control over her own life.  The blog has evolved into a “Free Britney” campaign, attracting many followers. Everyone knows the saying “sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me,” but in this day age words and statements are not to be taken lightly and can cause a lot of damage. While social media gives celebrities the ability to speak their minds to their fans, there have been plenty of public figures that have eaten their written words when they have not been cautious about while posting about others. In a recent incident, hip-hop superstar Jayceon Taylor, better known as The Game, has recently came out with a slanderous statement about his previous babysitter, Karen Monroe, on Instagram and Twitter.
